The S2X Team has carried out an output-only modal identification test of the maternity ward at Foggia’s Hospital. The test allowed the accurate estimation of the fundamental modal parameters of the building and the assessment of the effectiveness of some structural joints. 15 sensors arranged according to 3 different sensor layouts were used for the test, whose results were used by the engineers having in charge the seismic upgrading of the structure for the validation of the numerical model implemented for design of retrofitting interventions.
